Oddbins 34th Wine Fair hits London
Oddbins is delighted to announce that its popular Wine Fair will take
place on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May 2008, at Chelsea Football Club. Open from 11am-5pm each day, the event is a great opportunity to taste traditional and innovative vinous delights from around the world and meet, in person, some of the world's greatest winemakers. This year, for the first time, Oddbins will also be joined by its sister company Nicolas, the leading French wine specialist.
Over 400 wines will be available to taste from around 50 different wineries, including Australia's De Bortoli, D'Arenberg and Katnook, South Africa's Ken Forrester Wines and Chile's De Martino and Amayna, as
well as France's Gerard Bertrand from the Languedoc and Plaimont from Gascony. This year, the Fair will also feature a special wedding stand.
By popular demand the masterclasses are also back with six
running across both days. Hosted by visiting winemakers, the masterclasses will explore wine regions such as Bordeaux and Champagne, as well as look at new winemaking techniques in Chile led by Gonzalo Perez,
winemaker for the award-winning winery Anakena. The Whisky masterclass is always a treat and is this year being led by Bruichladdich. The classes are limited to 40 guests per class so booking early is
vital to avoid disappointment.
Tickets cost £25 each and are available online at www.oddbins.co.uk.
