The Adelaide Hills is a small region just about 15 kms from the city of
Adelaide in South Australia. The altitude is about 1,500 to 2,000 feet and there is a cool micro-climate which encourages freshness in the juice.
This is a stylish Chardonnay whose elegance and is
not overpowered by forward fruit. It has a pale gold colour with a luminous brilliance and evokes tropical fruit flavours and vanilla on both the aroma and palate. Added to this is a little dash of
acidity which helps gives the wine good balance.
The wine is bottled under the Co-op's own label.
Food guide: Paté, humus, smoked salmon, cured ham and most fish courses.
