From the land of silver, snow and sunshine, Argento is now one of the
most identifiable Argentinian wine brands on the supermarket shelves. Produced from century old vineyards owned by the Catena family, its vines are cultivated at around 2,000 feet on the eastern
foothills of the Andes.
The wine has a pale yellow colour with glints of green and a floral bouquet with tempting notes of tropical fruits. The tropical theme continues as pineapple on the
medium-bodied palate with a touch of spice, before a refreshing finish.
Food guide: As an aperitif, with most fish courses, salads and cold meats, chicken, veal, ham and pork and with hard, dry
cheeses, such as Spanish Manchego.
