Argento is one of the few wines that can claim international brand
status. It comes from Argentina – the land of Silver. Its ripe Chardonnay grapes are grown in the Mendoza region, on the eastern slopes of the Andes mountains at around 3,000 feet. There is little
rainfall but water is drawn from subterranean streams.
Argento Chardonnayt has a brilliant gold colour and a delightful aroma of citrus and some floral notes, before a rewardingly full-bodied
palate of grapefruit and lime and a fresh, satisfying finish.
Food guide: As an aperitif, with shrimps, prawns, crabs and langoustines, or with poultry.
Cellar Note: Drink now but will keep
well for 12 – 18 months.
