This popular wine from the ancient house of Antinori is a palatable
every day red.
It comes from the IGT vineyard region of Tuscany, which means it is the equivalent of a French Vin de Pays. It is a blend of the classic Tuscan grape, Sangiovese, and Merlot. This combination has produced a wine with quite a bright appearance, a mid-ruby colour, a middleweight palate with gentle fruit, followed by a clean finish.
It is easily quaffable - more of a lunch than a dinner wine and should match well with cold meats, many pasta dishes, chicken and ham.
