This is an impressive Chardonnay that despite being full-bodied (14%
abv) is elegant and stylish. The palate has delicious clean, crisp fruit with tempting peach and citrus flavours plus an unusual touch of mint. The wine has satisfying mouthfeel and the flavours linger
on in the well-balanced finish.
The winery was originally operated by Dr. William Thomas Angove, who actually prescribed wine and brandy to his patients in the ironically named 'Tea Tree Gully'
near Adelaide. Founded by a family of Cornish origin in 1886, the wine business remains in family hands.
Food guide: Trout, salmon, barbecued shrimp, langoustines and lobster, boiled ham, veal and
pork casserole.
