An exquisite dry white from Anakena, the rising star of Chilean wine
production. It is a delightfully aromatic and full-bodied blend of Chardonnay and Viognier. It has a brilliant pale gold colour and aromas of mango, pineapple and citrus. Tropical fruit flavours dominate
the vibrant palate.
Anakena is the Easter Island word for a secret hiding place. For centuries an annual race has taken place in this remote area of Chilean territory which involves young men
swimming and climbing a cliff to capture the egg of the Easter Island seagull from its Anakena. Now wine lovers can enjoy this hidden secret from Chile.
Chilean wine production dates back to 1548
when the missionary Francisco de Aguirre planted the first vineyard there in Copiapo to make sacramental wine. Now over four and a half centuries later the latest skills and technology emerges with
delicious wines such as this.
Food guide: As an aperitif, with most fish courses, with cold meats and salads, veal, ham and chicken.
