From the majestic vineyards of beautiful Margaret River in Western Australia comes this stylish Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot blend. From Perth it's a 3-hour drive directly south to Margaret River and its enchanting coastline. Amberley was established in 1986 and has developed a deserved reputation for quality ever since.

This is packaged in a tall, elegant bottle and the wine is elegant as well. It has a rich, ruby colour and offers berries and currants on its tempting aroma. The same fruit is confirmed on a full flavoured, well structured palate with soft oak tannins. This Cabernet-Merlot is drinking well now but will still improve for a couple of years. Best of all it has style. I felt it was a little pricey, otherwise it would have been marked higher.

Food guide: With casseroles, lamb cutlets and fillet steak.
