35° South is the latitude which famously runs through the vineyards of Chile, South Africa and Australia. It is also a popular brand owned by the large San Pedro company. 'Horizon' is a sub-brand of 35° South.

The Shiraz dominates the Cabernet in this fairly soft and gentle red blend which has an aroma of summer fruits, cherries and berries. The mid-ruby colour leads to a middleweight palate with an attractive mouthfeel. It is easy to drink, although not typical of the two grape varieties named.

Food guide: Cannelloni, Lasagne, Kebabs, lamb and poultry.

Cellar Note: Drink within 12 months.
